Crazy things happen when the Boys in The Department of Secret Projects get into the Zirconium. First, stuff ends up on fire… But the other cool thing that happens with Zirc and heat is iridescence, aka “flip-flop” color. There’s a sweet spot when heating zirc, where the result is an “oil slick” finish. It’s a grey-ish color with lots of colorful iridescent overtones. Like all Ray Guns colored using heat, there is some variation in these. Some have stronger green or teal tones, others have pink/purplish overtones, and they all have lots of colors that pop and change in the sunlight. Each of the beads is awesome and colorful and yours will be random/unique, as it’s impossible to do these exactly the same over and over.
**The Atomic Ray Gun beads have provisions for up to twelve (12) 1.5mm x 6mm trit vials, which you’ll need to secure with Norland 61 or another suitable epoxy. The beads are UNLOADED, meaning you are on your own to source the vials and install. I do not have vials for sale and trit vials ARE NOT included with the bead.**
